Camo Forever
This year has been a pretty positive one so far if you ignore the politics and finance, lets see we've had the return of the Spice Girls, Possibly the greatest Opening Ceremony ever, the Queen jumping out of a helicopter and our boys showed the world we're a force to be reckoned with over at the Tour De France. So for me it was the cherry on top of the cake when I looked at the fashion forecast to see Camo is back and in a big way. I sported a pair of Camo trousers back in the early 2000's so I am more than happy to participate in the trend again. This time around the look is far more sophisticated, I seem to recall a string vest... moving swiftly on. Here I've paired it with this years pastel but I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing these all the way through winter, I think they're going to look great with Peplums, pastels and chunky knits. Now the only question I'm left with is, would Camo on Camo be too much???

David Nash & His Land of Leather
They say that handmade is best and 'they' certainly aren't wrong. Today on the Newcastle Quayside as I was walking along not paying too much attention my amazing BF discovered this fantastic stall. The gentleman is called David Nash and is stall is great. He hand crafts leather goods of all varieties I can't believe I didn't even notice it. I'm totally in love with clutch bags at the moment and fell in love with these two as soon as I saw them, they are beautifully made and the leather smells incredible. After paying £17 for the two to be honest I feel like I robbed the guy I recently paid £40 for a red one from American Apparel and the quality doesn't even compare. My dad picked up a lovely tan leather belt which David made whilst we waited I will certainly be paying a visit the next time I'm home and if your in the Newcastle area definitely pay him a visit his stall is on the quayside every Sunday.
Dark Knight Rises
This weekend has been a pretty eventful one, it was my Dads 65th birthday so I had to make it a special one and with the release of one of the most anticipated films of the year going to see this was a no brainer! As a bit of a geek I pre-booked our tickets last month for the first showing, to say i was excited is putting it mildly and boy was I not disappointed. I'll not say too much as I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it but from the second it started to the credits rolling I was hooked I can't even remember blinking the whole time. There wasn't a moment of the film that wasn't spectacular and I am unable to put into words its brilliance. Oh my Dad loved it as well that has to go down as the most selfish present I've ever given him! On Saturday evening as a way of redeeming my selfish behaviour, with the help of his running club Tyne Bridge Harriers, we organised a surprise birthday meal for him. Its the first time I've really met them and I have to say what a lovely group of people and if your thinking about joining a running group in the North Tyneside area look no further. As a thank you to the club I went down to the Gateshead Quayside on Sunday morning to cheer them on in their race. I love spending time in Newcastle the people are so friendly and after watching the various runners competing I've definitely got the running bug again. And its a good job as after stuffing my face at the Quayside market after the race I'll be needing to do some exercise or I'll not fit in my skinny jeans. Brilliant weekend overall check out my outfits below.

Sneakerpedia Weekly Sneaker Showcase
If you haven't already you should definitely check out Sneakerpedia, I'm a bit of a closet trainer fan ever since my parents treated me to a pair of Air Max 97 and even though I don't wear them very often I'm still a sneaky collector on the side. Sneakerpedia is basically a Wikipedia but for trainers where individuals can upload their own collection to the site, so whether your a collector or just an admirer there are some serious shoes on the site. For me its about taking a trip down memory lane, trainer releases for me marked little milestones in my life. Another great feature of the site is the social network community that allows you to Tweet what your wearing, then once a week the best are chosen to feature in the Weekly Sneaker Showcase which, yours truely just happened to feature in this week.

Sunday Lunch on Happy Karma Day
What goes around comes around so they say, but don't we all act in ways that sometimes others may see as not that great? Karma's not a threat to spout at others when you think their actions aren't the best, its about putting good stuff out there if good stuff comes back then that's the cherry on top not the cake. Stay happy and once in a while look back at your actions, you may owe someone an apology. And if you feel like someone has wronged you accept the apology there's nothing less gracious than holding a grudge. Happy Karma Day Fashion Folks.

Casual Friday the 13th
They say that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day but I don't buy into that, I can't recollect anything bad ever happening on the most superstitious of days (touching wood of course). So bold as brass I shunned tradition, first stop the job I recently quit to collect my belongings that could have been horrific but it was only bad for the poor people sat at work! Second stop Primark usually traumatic in anyone's book but because it was a Friday there was barely a soul in sight, free reign in Primark whats not to love? I Picked up palazzo pants in Burgundy that will look great with Knitwear this Autumn/Winter, I broke in my new Zara Snake print boots, I made the bf a lovely Victoria sponge cake. Infact the only bad thing that happened all day was me making the school girl error in Primark of looking at the hanger size not the garment and coming home with a size 12 white work shirt and at £4 I'm sure I can waver that one. Did you have an unlucky day?

New Brand Alert For Net-A-Porter
Net-A-Porter is one of my favourite websites, I'm not lucky enough to purchase many things from there but viewing the new ins list is Fashion Dream land. This week a new label has been added to the ever growing list of designers in the shape of Kenzo. Kenzo has been around forever but has had a bit of a make over under the creative direction of Opening Ceremony's Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. The new collection features oversized shapes and and bright block colours.
See my best pics below.

A Weekend of Pastels
So the sun appeared for what seemed like half an hour this past weekend so like a true Geordie I dressed like it was heat wave and got my pastel on, although a true Geordie Girl would have been practically naked with the presence of a bit of sun! I've been desperate to wear this skirt for what seems like an eternity I absolutely love it. Who said pasty girls cant wear pastels???

Tangerine Dream
Being a fair English Rose I'm not normally one for such a bright Orange but saying as Peplums are big news this season this top seems to be a good place to give Orange a chance. I picked this little number up at my favourite store Zara when I last visited Newcastle. I attempted to tone it down with my latest DIY attempt pale jeans and some earthy browns but this top is bright and refused to be tamed. Overall I like the look and has left me feeling like I should give Orange a chance but next time I may be tempted to slap on a layer of tan so I don't feel quite so pasty!

Mila Kunis Welcome to Elle UK
As Mila Kunis graces the cover of Elle UK this month I take a look back at her rise to Super Stardom.
The American Actress moved to the US from her home country the Ukraine at the tender age of 7. After being enrolled in acting classes after school she was quickly discovered by an agent. After a few minor roles and commercials she landed the position of Jackie Burkhart in the hit US series That 70's Show.
After a breakout role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall her career snowballed and the big roles kept coming, but it was her supporting role in Black Swan that put her up in the Hollywood A list. Staring alongside Natalie Portman she was even nominated for a Golden Globe. The film went on to win numerous awards and Mila's star became firmly set in Hollywood.
A look back at some of her most prominant looks.
