Bank Holiday Weekend
Well its that time of year again...the final Bank holiday. This year August Bank holiday has been a pretty special one as I had a visit from my wonderful father. He doesn't get down to Cambridgeshire very often so its lovely to have him in my home and show him around the area for a few days. Saying goodbye is never easy but it just makes me realise I should visit home more often. My Dad certainly brought the North East weather with him but we were able to fit in a run, a bike ride and a visit to Cambridge. Check out my outfits below.

New Louis Vuitton....Yes Please!
It's no surprise to me that Iconic fashion house Louis Vuitton chose Sarah Jessica Parker to debute their new Speedy Bandouliere. Pictured above leaving the set of Glee, SJP looks styled to perfection carrying LV's newest addition due for release this Autumn. I love the raspberry shade of this version I just hope the price tag lies on the modest side of 'à prix élevé'.

Louis Vuitton & the Ultimate Golden Boy
Let’s face it when Michael Phelps announced his retirement at the youthful age of 27 I’m sure none of us were worried about how he was going to pay the bills, but just in case you were worried, fear not. As well as being the greatest Olympian ever he can now rank him self among the fashion elite as he has been named the new face of Louis Vuitton for the Core Values campaign. Staring alongside former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, 77, also an Olympic champion many times over, having won 18 medals in her impressive career Michael looks as good in a suit as he does in his trunks!
The caption below, which is written in Italian says 'Due percorsi straordinari. Uno stesso destino' which translates as 'Two extraordinary paths. The same fate.'
The new Cores Values Campaign supports Al Gore's Climate Change Project.

My Visit to a Very Special Postbox
So my childhood dreams of becoming an Olympian may not have come true, but yesterday I got as close as it gets to getting my hands on a Gold in the form of a visit to Victoria Pendleton's very own Gold medal winning Post box. If you want to visit your favourite medal winners Post Box or tour them all (my dream tour) you can find all our medal winning hero boxes at Gold Post Box.

The Greatest Day for British Sport Ever!
Wow! Where do I start? What a weekend to be British! Yesterday saw the greatest day for British Athletics ever, Our Rower's have had the greatest Regatta ever and as for Cycling no one compares. As a female I'm going to be biased here and go straight for the main girl, step forward Jessica Ennis the 5th greatest Heptathlete ever. What a woman, she was the face of British Athletics coming into the Olympics and greater men have crumbled beneath such pressure. She's performed with dignity and grace, a true professional and a true Lady. As an athlete, personality, Olympian, Icon and most certainly an inspiration to the Youth of today, if she doesn't sum up Danny Boyle's opening ceremony message I don't know what does. All I can say is we'd better be calling her Dame Ennis soon or I personally will be banging the door down at Buckingham Palace. We are now at the half way mark for London 2012 and if the sheer determination of our competitors hasn't left you with a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye then you have no soul and I have no words. Be inspired, be emotional, be impressed but most definitely be proud!

Victoria Pendleton - A True Role Model
As a female who idolised athletes as a child I find it worrying the women that our youth are looking up to, step forward WAGs and Wannabees, so you can imagine my delight yesterday when the wonder that is Victoria Pendleton stood on the podium to receive gold in her final Olympic games. For those of you who aren't fully clued up on cycling's Golden Girl I'll give you a run down. Pendleton is the girl who shouldn't be good at cycling her body doesn't fit the mould, her mind is regarded as too fragile and emotional. She fell in love with the GB Sports Scientist and after he quit for their love she lost the respect and comradery of her peers. And to top it all off she grew apart from her father who had coached her for so many years and he wasn't even there to see her first Olympic Gold medal. So how exactly has she became the face of Female track cycling? Pendleton puts it down to one simple thing, she believes that she just wants it more than everyone else. The power of determination drives her to be the best despite being too slight and over emotional. Outside of cycling Pendleton has launched her own range of Traditional Bikes and her focus for the future is on fashion and design. It would seem that the rejection from her peers has left Victoria with no option but to retire from the sport as she feels that there are too many bridges that cannot be rebuilt. Her cycling career may be coming to an end but that is far from being the only string in her bow, I for one am excited to see what fashion skills she has and you may have noticed she's a bit of a looker so theres bound to be countess magazine covers and shoots. One things for sure she's earned her fame and she's earned the right to be classed as a great role model.
